Poor Performance

Loss of performance in a competition horse can occur for many reasons, including low grade lameness and neurological disorders, back pain, muscle disorders, gastric ulcers, upper airway disorders, cardiopulmonary disease or other medical problems, as evaluated by the appropriate specialist.

Our multi-disciplinary team approach to investigation and treatment of poor performance allows us to provide a high level of service to our patients.

The horse should be investigated at the hospital and the normal tack and usual rider should be available at the initial consultation.
